Schedules

Schedules are available to view in PowerSchool! If you need your password reset, please contact the office at ncujhs@ncsuvt.org.

Making schedules for so many students takes a lot of work and there are many things we have to think about. When you look at your student’s schedule, we hope you feel excited about the new school year. We also understand that some students may not get the teacher they were hoping for. Based on the number of students and the number of teachers, making the schedule is quite complicated, therefore, we can not make changes based just on preference.

We encourage every student and family to start the year with an open mind. Every student is different and will have their own special experience with each teacher.

"Electives"

Last year, in addition to their core classes, students picked from a list of electives. This year, all students will try six different classes through Rotations.
  • Art
  • Digital Information Technology (DIT)
  • Drums
  • Family & Consumer Science (FCS)
  • Technology Education (Tech Ed)
  • Piano
Band or Chorus students will attend Band or Chorus instead of Piano or Drums.

Classes will rotate at the end of each trimester.

Note from the Principal

We are so excited to be welcoming students back the Junior High. While the students have been on break, we have been working to get ready for the new school year.

All teachers at NCUJHS care about their students and want what is best for them. Each teacher is a little different, but they all want to help students learn and grow.

I have seen all of our returning teachers teach, and I have talked to all the new teachers too. As a parent, I would trust any teacher at our school to teach my child, and as a principal, I trust every teacher on staff to teach our students.

If there is a specific concern with a teacher based on a personal experience, please reach out directly to me, and we can talk about the best path forward for your student.

Sincerely,
Edie Flores
Principal
